Seven Dimensions Care provide casual Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) Care Workers for residential and support care settings. We invest in our PBS team so they are equipped to provide high quality care to children and young people. Before you start work with us you will receive full training in implementing PBS in care settings. We provide short and longer term care and support workers, day and night, for residential and community based settings on a casual basis.

Job Description

Seven Dimensions care is an evolving service using the principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis to support typically developing children an young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties and their families. Working across South Wales and South West England our team provide residential and community support workers on a casual basis to services that require our support.

We are expanding our services and are looking to recruit six PBS Care and Support Workers to work across residential care and community support services in South Wales. These positions are on a casual basis where successful applicants select the shifts they work and will be required to work at short notice in varying locations. Successful applicants are not required to be PBS trained as full training is provided.

Within this role you will be required to work within various residential settings that care for young people who display behaviours that challenge as well as offer respite outreach support to families. Many of these young people have experienced significant early life trauma and have often been diagnosed with attachment disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). You will be expected to provide quality care for young people, support them to build life skills as well as developing their emotional understanding and regulation. You will be required to work alongside a team of care and support staff to help them undertake the day to day duties that support, care for and keep young people safe. You will also be required to work with families and in smaller teams when providing outreach support work.

An essential part of this role is implementing PBS practices, which you will receive full training in.

Successful candidates are expected to be able to work well within a team, have exceptional relationship building skills, be able to follow direction, be able to take on feedback and have excellent IT skills. Previous experience working with children, young people and adults who display behaviours that challenge is preferred but not essential. All candidates will be subject to a DBS check and be expected to of attended essential training before starting working.

All candidates will need access to a smart phone and/or a PC/laptop. All candidates should have a clean drivers licence and access to a car with business insurance. Successful candidates are expected to have their own personal indemnity insurance.

Part-time hours: 10-40 per week
